Sonic Symphony Preps For Summer Leg Of 2024 World Tour

Tokyo, Japan — Sonic The Hedgehog stands as one of the most popular and important video game series in the history of the medium, pushing video game boundaries and delighting fans for over three decades. The music found within the games plays a big role in Sonic’s continued embrace. Songs from across the franchise’s 30 years come alive during the summer leg of Sonic Symphony World Tour, presenting an immersive live experience bringing the sounds of SEGA’s flagship character to venues around the globe, while also putting a new spin on them via a full symphony orchestra and rock band.

Following a successful 2023 jaunt, Sonic Symphony aims to go even further in 2024. The event brings together a mix of classical and rock interpretations of famous Sonic The Hedgehog songs, complete with appearances by musicians such as Tomoya Ohtani, Jun Senoue and Johnny Gioeli (the latter two making up the rock group Crush 40) who have worked on the soundtracks for Sonic over the years. Sonic Symphony offers a new angle on beloved soundtracks, all boosted by footage of Sonic and friends themselves playing out behind the performers.

Kicking off in Paris, France on June 2 before heading to the United States throughout the summer. It’s a chance to not only celebrate the musical legacy of Sonic the Hedgehog, but also see classic video game tunes presented in a whole new way.
